Projector fun

 


I started this piece by taking some shots of myself with my DSLR and importing them to my laptop.

I browsed through them and marked which ones were the best, I picked the one above in the end.

Threw it into Photoshop, masked myself out of the original background and added a peach gradient as the background.

I then scrolled through google looking for an image of space, I thought the purple and red would contrast well.

I placed the space image and used the clipping mask to overlay it only on me.

After this step, I applied the Overlay blending mode.

Then I duplicated the space Image and moved it over the whole image.

I then applied the Overlay blending mode to this layer and masked out where it was covering me, because it was too harshly overlayed.


Overall, I'm happy with how it came out. I think i could have done some better colour matching and blending at the end.

My initial love for taking photos came from watching a Canadian photographer called Peter Mckinnon. He has a specific style which is very Punchy but moody. I loved that style, a lot of the shots I take now are in the same style. My first photo shoot was with my friend, Morgan. The shot below is from Last year. We were walking through Ormesby woods then the light changed pretty fast to this golden orange colour. We loved messing around with the shadows and silhouettes. My friend, Morgan. Final Project Inspiration

  I have used multiple objects in my final project that are also used in the inspiration. I used Photoshop to manipulate the original image and create a sequence with the sun and moon. They have used a long exposure on their DSLR with a tripod to provide a bright and stable image. They also edited the images to make it even brighter and sharper as there will have been lots of noise in camera.
